Newcastle Medical School Welcomes its Very Own 3D Printers

Over the recent summer, M3dicube worked in collaboration with Newcastle medical school to acquire the Raise3D and Prusa, officially introducing the school’s first 3D printers. To date, the printers have successfully printed several models generated from both sample data and clinical imaging scans (with permission) including the lumbar vertebra, kidneys and aorta, brain and heart.

As the new academic year unfolds, we at M3dicube are excited to continue working with the school to develop feasible and practical ways to implement such models into both the official curriculum for anatomy education and as a resource for self-study. Watch this space!
